Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that there are no new Tottenham deals on the horizon after a spate of contract renewals at White Hart Lane.
The likes of Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen have all renewed their contracts at White Hart Lane this term, as the north London outfit sit in second place in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of Spurs’ clash with West Brom, Pochettino told the London Evening Standard that there are no new negotiations currently taking place.
“There’s no news,” Pochettino said, as quoted by the London Evening Standard. “You know I’m very honest. How many times have I said ‘next week’? Now it’s all calm, all quiet.”
Spurs have started the season in emphatic form, and Pochettino has masterminded an impressive unbeaten run of five wins and two draws in seven league games.
They go into Saturday’s game against Tony Pulis’ West Brom with a chance of finishing the weekend on top of the Premier League, if Manchester City drop points against Everton.
Belgian international Nacer Chadli is expected to feature for the Baggies, just two months after leaving the north London outfit to move to the Midlands for £13million.
However, Argentinian boss Pochettino will have one eye on the Champions League as Tottenham face Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
In other Tottenham news, this sporting director has given his verdict on Vincent Jansson’s poor form.
