Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Toby Alderweireld has an issue with his back after he was left out of the Tottenham squad to face Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs take on newly-promoted Burnley at White Hart Lane looking to close the gap on the top four.
Centre-back Alderweireld recently returned from a knee injury, starting his first game since October during the 1-0 loss at Manchester United last weekend.
However, his club manager has now left him out of the squad for this weekend clash, with Eric Dier taking his place alongside Jan Vertonghen.
Here is Pochettino revealing why Alderweireld is missing the clash against Burnley as reported by the club’s official Twitter account.
Mauricio: "He’s not injured, he got a problem in the last training session in his back but it’s not a big issue, it’s only a small problem." pic.twitter.com/tYgfiCsix8

The Belgium international has been a key figure for his side in recent seasons, helping them to a Champions League spot last term.
He has played 13 Premier League and Champions League games during this campaign, scoring one goal.
Additionally, the highly-rated defender has helped the north London club keep nine clean sheets during those encounters.
Alderweireld was part of the team that beat league strugglers Hull 3-0 in midweek as Pochettino’s men will be looking to continue their unbeaten run on home soil this term.
Spurs are currently on 30 points going into this fixture, three behind Manchester City in fourth, who host Arsenal at the same time.
