Pontus Jansson is raring to go ahead of Leeds’ Championship clash against Burton on Saturday.
The 25-year-old has endeared himself into the hearts of Leeds fans this season, after playing an integral part in the team keeping five clean sheets in 10 league and cup appearances.
Posting on his personal Instagram message ahead of Saturday’s encounter, Jansson revealed that he is fully prepared for Leeds’ must-win clash against Nigel Clough’s men.
The four-time Sweden international is expected to start for Leeds alongside fellow loanee Kyle Bartley, after being rested against Norwich on Wednesday night during the Yorkshire giants’ fourth round EFL Cup tie.
On loan from Joe Hart’s new side Torino, Jansson has starred in Garry Monk’s starting 11 this season following his debut against Luton back in August.
According to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen, the former Malmo stopper could become a permanent Leeds player sooner rather than later as he edges closer to the 20 appearance mark that automatically sees him sign a permanent deal.
A win for Leeds could see Jansson and co. move to within touching distance of the Championship’s elite, with three points being enough to see Monk’s side move on level points with sixth placed Bristol City.
In other Leeds news, this midfielder has made a huge claim over the Championship side’s promotion hopes.
