Here, Football Insider compiles the Premier League team of the weekend after victories for Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham.
Diego Costa is omitted as Harry Winks and Harry Kane both made the team of the weekend after scoring in Tottenham’s 3-2 victory.
Winks capped off his first league start under Mauricio Pochettino with a goal in Tottenham’s dramatic late victory against West Ham and was the stand-out performer.
Spurs came back to secure a late victory in the London derby and it was Kane who produced the heroics once again, scoring twice in the dying minutes to give Spurs a 3-2 win.
He makes the team but Chelsea striker Costa misses out despite netting his 10th league goal of the season to ensure his side took home all three points.
Instead, Victor Anichebe gets the nod after he scored two goals in the second-half for Sunderland as David Moyes’ relegation-battling side recorded an important 3-0 victory against fellow league strugglers Hull.
Jermain Defoe isn’t included but teammate Jordan Pickford gets the number one spot after the Sunderland keeper kept his first clean sheet of the season.
Chelsea moved to the top of the table, a point above Liverpool, with a 1-0 victory against Middlesbrough and Victor Moses was also impressive and lines up on the right wing.
Yaya Toure made a sensational return to Manchester City’s starting XI, scoring both goals in their 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace.
Seamus Coleman continued to impress at right-back and he was important for Everton once again as he scored a late header to secure a 1-1 draw with Swansea.
Centre-backs Nathan Ake and Virgil Van Dijk both make the team after terrific performances for Bournemouth and Southampton respectively.
Ake scored the games only goal on his first start for Bournemouth during their 1-0 victory against Stoke on Saturday while Van Dijk was in sensational form to deny a number of chances from Liverpool in a pleasing goalless draw for the Saints.
Ryan Bertrand produced a great display at left-back to keep Sadio Mane at bay for Southampton and Marcus Alonso completes the team, appearing as a winger on the left side.
