BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey has blasted West Ham’s start to the Premier League season after they lost their fourth domestic game in a row.

The Hammers have failed to recapture the form that took them to seventh in the top flight last season, as stars Dimitri Payet, Mark Noble and Manuel Lanzini continue to struggle.

Norwich fan Humphrey decided to give his thoughts via his personal Twitter account, describing the start made by the Hammers as “disjointed, uninspired and unrecognisable” and believes too much blame is being given to the London Stadium.

The Hammers’ defence capitulated as Southampton ran riot on Sunday, with in-form Charlie Austin, Dusan Tadic and James Ward-Prowse all firing past helpless goalkeeper Adrian.

The loss leaves the Hammers rooted in the Premier League relegation zone, after losing to the likes of Manchester City, Watford and West Brom prior to the 3-0 defeat.

Pressure is continuing to surround former Croatia and Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic, who has also seen his side dumped out of the Europa League by Romanian minnows Astra Giurgiu.

The Hammers host Middlesbrough on Saturday as they look to secure just their second three points of the season before the international break.

In other West Ham news, fans have reacted on Twitter to Austin’s impressive performance against their side.
