Rangers fans have been promised by club chiefs there are still “good signings to come” as they chase the Scottish Premiership title next season.
Accrington duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass and highly-rated Liverpool kid Jordan Rossiter have already penned pre-contract deals, while Joey Barton completed a shock move from Burnley earlier this week.
Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson has vowed to hand manager Mark Warburton more money in this summer’s transfer market as the Scottish giants prepare for top-flight football.
Warburton is on the record as saying he wants up to eight new players to join the club during the forthcoming window.
Robertson revealed plans are in place which will delight supporters who are looking forward to a further influx of talent at the club.
“There are some really good signings to come, touch wood, and I know there are discussions on going at various stages.
“I would like to think with the quality of player, we have targeted and are targeting, we will be in with a good shout next season.
“We started the season knowing we must get promoted – that was the number one objective and the be-all and end-all.
“That was achieved with a few games to go, which was great.
“We bedded in a new squad, and we always said the core of that squad had to be good enough for the Premiership, and I think that has been the case in the cup games we have played against various Premiership teams.
Rangers missed out on a unique treble after their Scottish Cup final defeat to Hibernian at Hampden Park last weekend.
In other Rangers news, the club are keeping close tabs on a former Arsenal 22-year-old.
