Martyn Waghorn gave a man-of-the-match display against Hamilton on Friday evening – and Gers fans on Twitter were left delighted with his performance.
The 26-year-old forward was brought into the team by manager Mark Warburton, displacing veteran forward Kenny Miller from the line-up.
The manager’s decision proved to be fully justified, as Waghorn finished the match with two goals in the 2-1 victory at the SuperSeal Stadium.
The former Leicester forward opened the scoring in the first half with a stunning looping header before being in the right place to apply a volleyed finish in the second half.
His goals ensured the famous Ibrox side the three points on the evening and fans on social media were overjoyed with his performance.

Waghorn was quality but and I know I'm biased would be pushed hard for man of the match with Barrie McKay, back to form at last

Phwwww made hard work of that last 15 minutes but great win for Rangers. Waghorn was excellent, defence good again though.

Waghorn had failed to score in any of his previous nine matches for Rangers before Friday evening.
However, he had remained as the club’s top goalscorer with eight goals in 16 appearances before the Hamilton clash.
He will now be looking for more first team opportunities in Mark Warburton’s side, who are set to face Inverness next on Christmas Eve.
