Rangers fans have urged manager Pedro Caixinha to bring Joe Dodoo back into the starting line-up to face Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

The 21-year attacker was restricted to a start from the bench in last weekend’s 2-0 win against Partick Thistle.

However, he was brought on at half time with Barrie McKay struggling to impress in the first half at Ibrox.

Dodoo did not add to his five goals in total for the campaign against Partick, but it is clear that fans were impressed by him once more and many now want him to start in Sunday’s huge Scottish Cup semi-final clash.

A number of fans were keen to point out that his display last weekend was good enough to see him start against the Hoops, while others named him in their personal starting eleven.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Dodoo was signed by Rangers in the summer from Premier League champions Leicester for a £250,000 development fee.

He had struggled for game time under former boss Mark Warburton, but he has faced Celtic twice in his so far short Gers stay as he came off the bench both times.

Like the fans he too will be hoping that he is called into the starting for Sunday afternoon’s 12.00pm kick off at Hampden Park.
