Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight after veteran Kenny Miller hit a 20-minute hat-trick against Linfield.
The Gers legend struck in the 11th, 28th and 31st minute before adding another in the second half as Mark Warburton’s side strolled to an emphatic 7-0 win against the Northern Ireland side in a testimonial for Linfield midfielder Jamie Mulgrew.
Scotland international Miller opened the scoring at Windsor Park, finishing emphatically from close range into the roof of the net, after Josh Windass’ header was parried.
Miller, who has 70 Scotland caps to his name following his debut in 2001 against Poland, rounded former Manchester United and Rangers goalkeeper Roy Carroll for his second before hammering home at the back post to secure the match ball.
The former Wolves and Derby striker grabbed his fourth with a cool finish in the 53rd minute after good work from Harry Forrester and Michael O’Halloran.
Miller, 36, is currently in his third spell at Ibrox, after moving back to the Scottish Giants in 2014 from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.
Here are a selection of tweets from Gers fans.
Miller has made four Premiership appearances for the Gers following their promotion to the top flight of Scottish football, finding the back of the net against Motherwell and Dundee.
In other Rangers news, manager Warburton has made plans for this senior pair.
