Jamie Redknapp believes Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will be the dangermen for Liverpool against Manchester United on Monday night.

The north-west rivals clash at Anfield in what is expected to be a toxic and highly charged atmosphere for the visitors.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have scored 18 goals in seven league outings this term, as the attacking trio of Mane, Firmino and Philippe Coutinho have destroyed top flight defences.

Forward Mane signed for the Reds from Premier League rivals Southampton during the summer and has impressed the Anfield faithful with his three goals in six appearances this term.

Equally, Brazilian attacker Firmino has impressed in a false number nine role, bagging the same number of goals.

Sky Sports pundit Redknapp believes United will have to be wary of Liverpool’s attacking threat going forward, in particular of the in-form duo.

“It should be a fantastic game,” Redknapp wrote in his Sky Sports column. “But it will be a huge test for United. You feel the momentum is with Liverpool.

“Their players are enjoying their football and neutrals are looking forward to watching them. And their options in attack present real problems for Mourinho’s men.

“Mane has given them a great option, with his pacy runs beyond. His inter-changing with Roberto Firmino will give United’s centre-backs a headache in terms of who to mark, who to stay tight to and when to step up or hold their line.”

The Merseyside club have recorded wins away at Arsenal, and Chelsea, including thumping league champions Leicester City 4-1 on home soil.

As a result they sit fourth in the table with 16 points, two points off leaders Manchester City, with United in sixth with 13 points.

In other Liverpool team news, a Sky Sports pundit believes that this 24-year-old will decide the winner against Manchester United.
