Everton winger Aiden McGeady is set to join Championship side Preston, according to a reliable journalist.
Paul Joyce, a journalist for the Express newspaper, claimed on his personal Twitter account that the 30-year-old winger would move to the Lancashire side late on deadline day.
It appears that McGeady is set to leave Goodison Park as the Merseysiders prepare to complete the £30million club-record signing of Moussa Sissoko.

Sky Sports revealed on their transfer centre blog on Wednesday (8:06pm) that attacking midfielder Sissoko is on his way to Everton to undergo a medical.
Right-winger McGeady, who moved to Goodison Park from Russian side Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2014, now looks set to end his two-year spell at the club.
During his time in Merseyside he has played in 43 encounters with a return of one goal.
McGeady has not featured under Ronald Koeman in the new campaign and his last appearance for the Toffees came over a year a go in the Capital One Cup in a 5-3 victory.
He spent the second half of last season on loan in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday where he played in 13 fixtures for the Owls.
The winger still has two years left on his current contract at Goodison Park as he prepares for another stint in England’s second tier.
McGeady is some way down the club’s pecking order for a position on the wing with Gerard Deulofeu, Kevin Mirallas, Aaron Lennon and Yannick Bolasie all favoured ahead of him.
Simon Grayson’s side sit in 23rd place in the Championship and the experienced manager will be keen to strengthen his side to avoid the drop in the new campaign.
