West Brom have apparently put two deals on hold after making loan bids for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere and Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho, according to a reliable journalist.

Callum Williams, a TalkSport commentator, has revealed via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that whispers are coming from the Midlands side that they are looking to secure loans for Sakho or Wilshere.

West Brom can only secure one more domestic loan, after already bringing in Brendan Galloway from Everton on a season-long deal this summer.

It would seem that Pulis is interested in both, but it remains to be seen which one would be his preferred target if both players say yes.

Sky Sports claimed on their transfer centre blog on Monday night (10.27pm) that manager Arsene Wenger will sanction the exit of Wilshere on loan before Wednesday night’s transfer cut-off.

It would prove to be a sensational move given Wilshere’s status at his boyhood club and his long-held reputation as one of Europe’s outstanding young players.

It is believed that Wilshere will be able to leave the Gunner after starting just one game for the north London side in the last year due to injuries.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail have claimed that Liverpool have told Sakho, 26, that he is not a part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans this season and that if he is to get any game-time this season, it will be on loan.

In other Liverpool transfer news, winger Lazar Markovic is considering an approach from Newcastle.
