Rangers are keeping tabs on Leeds’ French midfielder Toumani Diagouraga as Mark Warburton looks to continue his summer recruitment drive.
The 29-year-old, who signed for Leeds in January from Championship rivals Brentford, has featured just once for Monk’s side this season in their opening day 3-0 defeat to QPR.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Lee Sobot claimed via his personal Twitter account that a move to Scottish giants Rangers could be on the cards for Diagouraga.

Sobot claims that Diagouraga could be set to leave Elland Road before Wednesday’s 11pm deadline, with Luke Murphy interesting Sheffield United.
Football website HITC claimed earlier this month that Monk has told Murphy, 26, and Diagouraga they are not part of his plans and they can find new clubs in the next fortnight before the window shuts.
Diagouraga, who has also had spells for Peterborough United, Portsmouth and Swindon Town, has plunged down Garry Monk’s central-midfield pecking order.
Summer arrivals Liam Bridcutt and Matt Grimes are ahead of him, while youngsters Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips have also come to prominence after impressive pre-seasons.
Combative midfielder Diagouraga arrived at Elland Road for £700,000 in January from Brentford, having played 244 times for the Londoners over seven years.
The 29-year-old featured 19 times for Leeds last season and has less than two years remaining on his deal with the Yorkshire giants.
Rangers boss Warburton has already signed 10 players this summer. Experienced stars Clint Hill, Joey Barton, Niko Kranjcar and Matt Gilks have been mixed with youngsters Jordan Rossiter, Joe Dodoo, Josh Windass and Matt Crooks.
Northern Ireland Lee Hodson has also put pen to paper at Ibrox, while Joe Garner joined in a £1.5million deal from Preston.
In other Rangers transfer news, this former Arsenal star could join the Gers after a trial.
