Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele will miss Belgium’s World Cup qualifier against Estonia on Sunday, according to a reliable journalist.

Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur has stated on his personal Twitter account that Dembele has still not recovered from the north London derby last Sunday.

The 29-year-old, who put in a man-of-the-match display against Arsenal, played the full match as Spurs drew 1-1 with their bitter rivals.

But Dembele, who missed the Red Devils 1-1 draw in Netherlands’s on Thursday will now sit out another fixture for his country.

“Mousa Dembélé won’t play against Estonia,” Terreur wrote on his personal Twitter account. “He has not fully recovered from the Arsenal game.”

Versatile midfielder Dembele has made 66 appearances for his national side, where he has scored six goals.

Injuries and suspensions have restricted him to eight Premier League and Champions League game this season, but he did make a significant impact in the north London derby.

Dembele won the penalty which led to Harry Kane equalising from the spot in the second-half, after his teammate Kevin Wimmer had headed into his own net before the break.

After the international fixtures Spurs host their London rivals West Ham at White Hart Lane in what will be a highly charged encounter.

In other Tottenham team news, supporters on Twitter have reacted with relief as Daniel Sturridge is expected to start ahead of Harry Kane in England’s clash against Scotland.
