Newcastle are yet to receive a suitable bid for senior stars Moussa Sissoko, Florian Thauvin, Cheick Tiote and Ayoze Perez, according to a reliable club journalist.
Chronicle chief sports writer Lee Ryder has revealed on his personal Twitter account that the Magpies are yet to receive a suitable bid for their senior quartet.
Moussa Sissoko has been linked away from St James’ Park all summer and has most recently been linked with a move to Real Madrid according to The Chronicle, while Ayoze Perez has been linked with a move to fellow Spanish giants Barcelona according to the Daily Mail.
Thauvin and Tiote have also been linked with moves away following the club’s relegation. The former was claimed to have agreed a loan move to Lazio by Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, while Tiote has been claimed to be in advanced talks with Al Jazira Club, according to Sky Sports.
The Magpies have already sold senior pair Georginio Wijnaldum and Andros Townsend this summer for £25million and £13million respectively.
It is understood that if the four stars follow Wijnaldum and Townsend out of the St James’ Park exit doors, the Magpies could net around £100million from player sales.
However, the Toon have also invested into their squad this summer and have so far brought in seven players for a total of £36million, which include stars Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle, who were purchased for eight-figure fees.
In other Newcastle transfer news, former Toon defender Aaron Hughes has been named as the marquee player for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.
