Arsenal have been placed on high alert after the agent of Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler claimed he is set to join one of Europe’s leading clubs next season.

The Mirror state that the Gunners will be on standby following the come-and-get-me plea issued by Draxler’s agent Fabio Parisi.

It is said Ligue 1 champions Paris St-Germain are also in the hunt for the Germany international.

Parisi confirmed that the attacking midfielder will leave the Bundesliga at the end of the season and that Italian outfit Juventus could once again be in contention to sign him after their failed summer swoop.

“He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season,” Parisi told Tuttosport as quoted by the Mirror. “He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri.

“I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter. I think the Bianconeri can still spend big money, as their revenue is close to that of the top European clubs.”

Draxler joined the German club during the summer of 2015, from fellow Bundesliga outfit Schalke for a club-record £25.5 million.

The Telegraph reported on their transfer blog that Draxler who earns £85,000-a-week, which was the sum he was fined during the summer after publicly trying to force a transfer away from the Volkswagen Arena.

The World Cup winner has made seven appearances in all competitions this term, but has failed to provide an assist or score a goal.

The German attacker has scored 23 goals and provided 24 assists in 146 Bundesliga games for Schalke and Wolfsburg respectively.
