Everton target Graziano Pelle has been offered an incredible £150,000-a-week to move to Chinese club Shanghai Greenland.
The Daily Star claim that the Chinese cash-rich side are hoping to pinch Pelle from under the noses of Premier League sides Everton and Chelsea.
The Chinese club currently have former Newcastle and Chelsea striker Demba Ba, Obafemi Martins and Colombia international Fredy Guarin in their squad.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly keen to land Pelle for the third time, after signing him for Dutch giants Feyenoord and then bringing him to Southampton two years ago.
However, following the departure of the Dutch manager from the south coast the Italian’s current club has made it clear that they will not offer him a new deal as the 30-year-old enters the final year of his contract.
The Hampshire based club are looking for up to £20million for the front man after the striker scored 23 goals in 68 appearances in the Premier League since moving to England two years a go.
If the Toffees do secure the signature of the powerful striker it could be one of several new additions at Goodison Park this summer as Farhad Moshiri prepares to spend big in order to secure European football for the Blues next season.
Although he missed a spot-kick as Italy crashed out of the European Championships on penalties to Germany on Saturday night, Pelle represents hot property after an impressive season at St Mary’s Stadium, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists throughout the campaign.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are weighing up a stunning £17million bid for Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
