Tottenham will attack Manchester City on Sunday afternoon in an attempt to disrupt their attacking flow, according to a report.

The Telegraph claim that Pochettino will instruct his players to hustle and harry the City back four and holding midfield option in order to prevent Pep Guardiola’s side dominating the game.

The blueprint for success against City was laid down by Celtic on Wednesday as the Scottish giants got in among the Premier League leaders and earnt a vital point in their Champions League campaign.

A high press from winger Scott Sinclair, striker Moussa Dembele and attacking midfielder Tom Rogic panicked Guardiola’s defence and gave Brendan Rodgers’ side gilt-edged chances in the fixture.

Pochettino will be hoping Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min can cause similar issues against a City side currently sporting a 100% win record in the league.

The Spurs boss has enjoyed success against Guardiola before with the tactic, when his bottom of the league Espanyol side beat Barcelona 2-1 in 2009 after going after the Catalan outfit, rather than sitting off them.

In other Tottenham news, Harry Redknapp admitted he discovered his players bet on their own matches, in contravention of Football Association rules – and Spurs fans took to Twitter.
