Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a swoop for Newcastle ace Moussa Sissoko, according to a report.
French news website Mercato 365 claim that the German giants have turned their attention to the Newcastle midfielder as they look for a replacement for Manchester-United bound Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
It is understood that Dortmund have an interest in Wolfsburg’s Andre Schurrle as well as the 26-year-old Tyneside based man.
The attacking midfielder suffered relegation with Newcastle in the recently completed season and scored just one goal and notched eight assists as his side finished 18th in the Premier League.
Sissoko is contracted to the Toon until June 2019, but he could be tempted by a move away from the Championship and to the German club, who would offer him Champions League football next season.
The report claims that Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Sissoko, and with Hamburg already having had a £10.2million bid rejected, BVB are allegedly ready to enter the race and land the Frenchman.
The 37-time capped France international is currently with the Euro 2016 hosts and has helped his country reach the semi-finals where they will face Germany after starring in four encounters during the campaign.
