Everton, Southampton and West Ham are chasing Ecuador defender Arutro Mina, according to a report.
ESPN FC claim that the Premier League trio are eyeing a swoop for the 25-year-old centre-back.
It is believed that the Premier League sides have been alerted to Mina’s talents after he impressed for both his Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle and his national side in the last year.
The player has had an instrumental role in helping the club reach the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores this season, which includes two outstanding performances in his side’s 2-1 aggregate win over holders River Plate.
The powerful defender has also established himself as a key member of the Ecuador national side as he starred in four encounters for his country helping the team reach the quarter finals of this summer’s Copa America.
It is understood that new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is targeting a centre-back with John Stones expected to join Manchester City in a £50million deal.
Meanwhile, the Hammers are also searching for defensive reinforcements after allowing James Tomkins to leave for Crystal Palace earlier in the summer.
The east London side already have one Ecuadorian in their side with Enner Valencia, although the striker could be on his way out of the Olympic Stadium this summer.
Independiente del Valle are resigned to losing Mina once their participation in the Copa Libertadores is over and the Ecuador club are bracing themselves for bids for their prized asset.
In other Everton news, Arsenal are interested in signing Juventus and Toffees target Daniele Rugani.
