Juventus are ready to accept an offer from Wolfsburg for West Ham target Simone Zaza, according to a report.

Italian football website Football Italia claim that the Bundesliga side have offered £30million for the 25-year-old and Juventus are ready to accept their offer.

But the report also claims that Zaza would prefer a switch to the Hammers after they had an initial £27million bid rejected by the Serie A giants.

It is understood that Wolfsburg are ready to offer Zaza a five-year deal worth £50,000-a-week plus bonuses.

However, as reported on Football Insider on Wednesday the striker was not interested in a move to Germany, so it is thought that if the Hammers do match Juventus’ valuation then he will opt for a move to the Olympic Stadium.

The London club could now return with another offer for Zaza, who still has four years left on his current deal.

The Italy international helped Juventus complete a domestic double in the recently completed season with the Serie A title and the Italian Cup, although forwards Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata kept his game time limited.

The striker scored eight goals in 24 appearances in all competitions during the 2015-16 campaign.

Before Juventus he played for a range of different Italian clubs including Sassuolo, Sampdoria and Atlanta, however is yet to play outside of Italy.

As West Ham prepare for European football next season, the signing of the Italian would add some experience to a team who have not been a regular feature in Europe in recent years.

The Hammers have also made it clear that they are in the market to reinforce their attack with a proven goalscorer.
