Liverpool are hot on the trail of Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac, according to a report.

German publication Bild has claimed that the Reds alongside West Ham and Chelsea are keen on the 23-year-old.

Capped 21 times by national side Bosnia and Herzegovina at his young age he has attracted the Premier League trio with a string of good performances in the Bundesliga.

Although his side currently sit in 12th place in the league, Kolasinac has particularly impressed with four assists in eight appearances in all competitions and he gave a good performance in the weekend’s 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the left wing-back position.

The Bosnian’s contract runs out in the summer and he could be looking to move from Germany to the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp knows the Bundesliga well from his time as manager at Dortmund and he will also be keen to improve a weak left-back position.

The defensively questionable Alberto Moreno has been dropped from the position in the new campaign with the versatile James Milner taking over the role from the Spaniard.

However, not considered a natural full-back Klopp will be looking for further additions to the position as his side have Premier League title aspirations.

In the latest Liverpool transfer news, the Reds have sent scout Kiko Espinar to Barcelona to watch the academy players.
