Newcastle manager Rafa Bentiez will make one more signing this week and there will also be departures, according to a report.

As reported by Football Insider, utility player Isaac Hayden has signed for the club from Arsenal for a reported fee of £2.5million on a five-year deal.

The Chronicle live are reporting that Grant Hanley will be the most likely in-coming transfer this week as Benitez looks to add one more defender to his backline, which already includes left-back Jesus Gamez, who penned a two-year deal from Atletico Madrid.

Newcastle have had two bids for the Blackburn centre-back rejected as they step up their pursuit of their third defensive signing of the summer.

With the departure of striker Papiss Cisse, it is reported that more outgoings will take place with the likes of Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Cheick Tiote all receiving interest.

It is said that Bentiez will make a move for another high profile player, if Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Sissoko depart the club as Everton, Tottenham and Liverpool have shown interest in the attacking midfielders.

The former Real Madrid boss has already sold winger Andros Townsend to Crystal Palace for a fee of £12 million and would preferably not like to lose anymore of his star players.
