Celtic are interested in a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward after making an enquiry for the player, according to reports.
The Sun claim that the Hoops are interested in a move for the 23-year-old as they prepare to battle Rangers for the Scottish Premier League title next season.
Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers could have a fight on his hands to secure his second major signing of the summer after Football Insider reported Ward is closing in on a loan move to Huddersfield.
Ward spent the first half of the 2015-16 season on loan at Aberdeen before returning to Merseyside and rising above Adam Bogdan in the Anfield pecking order.
However, the signing of Loris Karius earlier on this summer has pushed Ward back down to third in the roster behind the German and established No1 Simon Mignolet.
The Welsh stopper made 35 appearances in all competitions in 2015-16, conceding 28 goals but keeping 13 clean sheets along the way.
The youngster has spent this summer with Chris Coleman’s Euro 2016 squad in France, and played in the opening group game against Slovakia.
Wales lost 2-0 in their semi-final against Portugal on Wednesday night, and with no third place play-off they will head home.
The former Tamworth loanee joined Liverpool for £100,000 in January 2012 and is under contract until 2020.
