Ten more Liverpool senior players could leave the club in the final weeks of the transfer window to follow the 10 who have already left, according to a report.
Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen and Jordon Ibe have been the most notable departures for the Reds, joining Fenerbache, Stoke and Bournemouth respectively, while Jordan Rossiter, Jose Enrique, Kolo Toure, Samed Yesil, Joao Carlos Teixeira, Jerome Sinclair and Sergi Canos have all left Anfield this summer.
The departures have netted the club £40million and the Daily Mail claim that Klopp will continue to shed much of the deadwood left over from Brendan Rodgers’ reign.
Brad Smith is set to complete a £6million switch to Bournemouth, while strikers Mario Balotelli and Christian Benteke look certain to be offloaded.
Youth graduate Jon Flanagan could also be allowed to join newly-promoted Burnley on loan, while there are also question marks over defender Mamadou Sakho’s future after the defender was sent home from Liverpool’s tour of the US.
Reds fan favourite Lucas Leiva has also been linked with a move away and is reportedly wanted by Galatasary, amid reports that the Brazil international could be set for a reunion with former boss Rafa Benitez at Newcastle.
Another Rodgers signing, Lazar Markovic, could also be set for the exit door after moving to Merseyside in a £20million deal in the summer of 2014. The quick winger spent last term with Fenerbache and has also been linked with moves to Schalke and Fiorentina.
Young trio Andre Wisdom, Luis Alberto and Tiago Ilori could also be on their way out of the club. The three have spent the past few years on-loan at various clubs, but, with all of them now at 23-years of age, the Liverpool boss may think they’re too far in their careers now to be loaned out again.
The Reds kick off their Premier League season in 18 days against Arsenal and Klopp will be keen to ensure that with all this transfer movement still expected that there aren’t too many disruptions in his squad.
In other Liverpool transfer news, Sadio Mane has revealed he snubbed interest from Manchester United and “lots of other clubs” to join the Reds this summer.
