Tottenham will finalise talks with Harry Kane this week on a new £100,000-a-week contract, according to a report.
The Sun claim Spurs have virtually concluded negotiations with the striker on an improved five-year deal that will make him the club’s top earner.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on Sunday night that Tottenham are set to clinch the signing of Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar.
The double deal will be a huge boost to manager Mauricio Pochettino after the club lost out of to Chelsea in their pursuit of Michy Batshuayi, with the striker completing a £33million transfer on Sunday.
Janssen will cost half of Batshuayi but was the top scorer in the Dutch League this season with a virtual goal-a-game haul of 27 goals in 34 games. In all competitions, he struck 32 times in 49 matches.
Tottenham have seen off late interest in Janssen from Paris Saint-Germain to land the 21-year-old after tabling a series of bids in recent weeks.
Football Insider revealed in March that Spurs were keen to tie Kane, 22, down to a lucrative new contract before the start of next season.
The striker had a disappointing Euro 2016 but he has had two consecutive outstanding seasons for Spurs and topped the Premier League goal charts this season with 25 goals and came third, behind Leicester duo Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy, in the PFA Player of the Year award.
Pochettino is keen to beef up the Spurs attack after Kane led the front line virtually singlehandedly in the recently completed domestic campaign.
In other Tottenham transfer news, another White Hart Lane attacker is set to be sold this summer after a decision by Pochettino.
