Arsenal have rejected January bids from Newcastle and West Brom to sign Kieran Gibbs on loan, Football Insider sources understand.
The London giants will not allow the England international to leave the club for the rest of the season.
Gibbs has lost his regular starting place over the last year to Spaniard Nacho Monreal, who has been rewarded for his form with an improved contract running until 2019.
But an Arsenal recruitment source has told Football Insider that the Gunners have no intention of offloading left-back Gibbs as they prepare for the title run-in.
Arsene Wenger regards the 26-year-old England international as a key squad player even though he has played just 268 minutes of Premier League action this season.
Newcastle and West Brom are both in the market for a left-back on deadline day but will now turn their attention to back-up targets.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Wenger is doubtful that Mathieu Debuchy will complete a deadline day loan move to Aston Villa, while youngster Serge Gnabry is heading to one of two Championship clubs.
