Dele Alli drew level with the scoring record of Jack Wilshere as the Tottenham sensation extended his hot streak in his team’s 3-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday night.

Spurs brushed aside Alex Neil’s team at Carrow Road after Alli had opened the scoring inside two minutes with a calm finish.

It was his seventh Premier League goal of an outstanding debut campaign and, to the delight of Tottenham supporters, puts him equal with Arsenal midfielder Wilshere.

Alli has scored his seven goals in just 21 league appearances, while injury-plagued Wilshere has taken 114 matches to record seven top-flight strikes, with six coming for Arsenal and the other while on loan at Bolton.

Alli was substituted at half-time against Norwich but a Harry Kane double helped Spurs to a comfortable win and the three points.

It lifts Mauricio Pochettino’s team into third in the Premier League table as they leapfrogged bitter rivals on goal difference.
