Robbie Savage has revealed he is confident on Twitter ahead of Aston Villa’s match against Birmingham.
Savage has a strong connection with Birmingham and made 82 appearances for them during his playing career.
The current pundit has said on his personal Twitter account that his former team will win 2-1, when in discussion with Mirror editor Lloyd Embley.
Villa travel to St Andrews on Sunday for the highly anticipated league meeting and the two Midlands rivals are separated by six points in the table.
Birmingham have made a strong start under manager Gary Rowett and currently sit seventh in the Championship, only outside the play-off positions on goal difference.
Villa have had a much more difficult start to the season and recently sacked Roberto Di Matteo after a string of poor results.
Steve Bruce was subsequently appointed the club’s new manager and he is undefeated in his first three games, with league wins against Fulham and Reading.
Villa are currently 16th in the table and have managed to steer away from the relegation places, but will be hopeful of challenging at the top-end of the table.
The Midlands giants were relegated from the Premier League for the first time last season and will be desperate for an immediate return.
