Robbie Savage believes that Sadio Mane has been the most impressive player in the Premier League in the new season.
The 24-year-old moved to Liverpool in the summer for £34million and has settled quickly under Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool’s new forward has helped them to fifth place after the opening four games and has become a firm favourite already with the Kop.
BBC pundit Savage revealed in a question-and-answer session on his personal Twitter account on Monday that Mane has impressed him so far more than any other player.
Mane has enjoyed a great start to his Liverpool career and has now scored two goals in his first four appearances for the club.
The Senegalese forward scored on the opening day 4-3 win over Arsenal and added another in Liverpool’s 4-1 victory against reigning champions Leicester on Saturday.
The speed that Mane possesses has been a perfect fit with his new side and the club boast several dangerous attackers with Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho all currently in good form.
Mane made 75 appearances at his former club Southampton, scoring 25 goals and supplying 14 assists in the process.
Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge on Friday and Mane has a good record against Chelsea, scoring for Southampton last season in a 3-1 victory.
However Chelsea are unbeaten under new manger Antonio Conte and should provide a tough test for Klopp’s side.
In other Liverpool team news, their player has topped the Premier League chart with an impressive statistic.
