Liverpool are currently sat in third place in the Premier League table and sit with 20 points from nine fixtures.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are in fifth with 19 points from their opening fixtures.
The two teams have already met in the league this season, which saw the pair play out a 1-1 stalemate, but there’s a guaranteed winner on Tuesday.
Both side’s will be more focused on their respective league campaigns, with Spurs also competing in the Champions League, but Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get their hands on some silverware.
The Reds made the final of the cup competition in the last campaign led by Klopp, but they lost to Manchester City on penalties.
Both sides have history in the competition, with Liverpool last winning it in 2012 with a penalty victory over Cardiff, while Tottenham ran out 2-1 winners over Chelsea in 2008.
In other Liverpool news, there are six first team regulars in line to face Tottenham.
