Roberto Firmino has hailed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as the best he has worked with during his football career.

The 24-year-old has worked with a number of bosses while with Hoffenheim and Brazil, but he has hailed the quality of his current manager above others.

The German manager took Liverpool to two finals in his first few months in charge and will now be looking to return the famous club to European football.

“He’s an excellent manager,” told Firmino to the Sky Sports website. “He’s the best I’ve worked with so far. Working for him is incredible. He has a good heart and he also has that German mentality.

“Having played in Germany, I’ve adapted to German football, too. The hard work that he does is for the team. We’ve made a good start and things are going well for us. It’s always good to see our hard work be rewarded.”

Liverpool have started the new campaign well, sitting in fifth place with 13 points from their opening six fixtures.

Firmino has helped with the impressive start, scoring three goals and providing two assists in seven appearances for the club in all competitions.

The Reds face Swansea on Saturday afternoon, with the Swans struggling at the start of the new campaign.

In other Liverpool news, Michael Owen has predicted the Reds to continue their impressive form against Swansea in Saturday afternoon’s clash.
