Roberto Firmino has revealed on Twitter he is “fully focused” ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Manchester United on Monday night.

Liverpool’s number 11 is expected to start for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the knowledge that a win will push them to the top of the Premier League.

Firmino, who signed for Liverpool from Hoffenheim, posted on his personal Twitter account that he was ready to face bitter rivals United as Klopp eyes a sixth league win in eight games.

Along with the likes of Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, Firmino will be looking to provide the Merseyside giants’ attacking threat.

Liverpool’s first-choice striker has been superb in a red shirt this term. Four goals in eight league and cup encounters has established Firmino as Jurgen Klopp’s first-team attacking spearhead, keeping out the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Danny Ings.

Firmino’s form has almost come as a relief to Liverpool fans, after he struggled to come to terms with life at Anfield following his £29million move to Anfield last season. The 25-year-old failed to score in his first 14 games for Klopp’s side.

Liverpool will come up against an in form side in Jose Mourinho’s United though, after three wins and a draw in their last four and league encounters.

In other Liverpool news, fans have reacted on Twitter after rumours began to circulate that this out-of-form senior man could be in line to start against United.
