Roberts is a highly rated youngster and the Hoops will be keen to ensure they are at full strength for the match against Manchester City.
The Scottish giants have already played one tie in their Champions League group after qualifying for the competition.
They faced La Liga giants Barcelona, where they were on the end of a humiliating 7-0 defeat and they will be looking to ensure a similar scoreline doesn’t occur against Pep Guardiola’s side.
City have also played one game in the group stage, beating Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0.
The two will meet next Wednesday with the Hoops having the home advantage at Celtic Park.
