Rodney Marsh has questioned whether Tottenham are a one man team following their latest poor display on Wednesday evening.

The north London club suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Champions League at Wembley following a goal from Kevin Kampl.

It has seen Spurs’ poor form continue, extending their winless run to six matches with two losses and four draws.

Speaking on his personal Twitter account during the match, former footballer Marsh posed the question whether the team depended on one-man,  with a Harry Kane hashtag.

Kane has been missing for the north London club since September after he picked up an ankle injury during a clash against West Brom.

However, he was not Spurs’ only omission against Leverkusen with star centre-back Toby Alderweireld also a long-term absentee and attacker Erik Lamela was out with a hip problem picked up in training on Tuesday.

Both Kane and Alderweireld have returned this week with a vital clash at the Emirates against fierce rivals Arsenal coming up on Sunday.

Spurs fans will be hoping their side can step up their recent performances as they look to reclaim bragging rights after the Gunners finished above them once again in the league last season.

In other Tottenham news, the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to Son Heung-min’s performance against Leverkusen.
