Ronald Koeman has called on Romelu Lukaku to work harder after a disappointing display during the 5-0 loss to Chelsea.
The Belgium international failed to stop Antonio Conte’s side prior to the international break as the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa ran riot against the Toffees.
The Times reporter Paul Joyce revealed on his personal Twitter account that Lukaku had been ordered to put more work in, as Premier League top goalscorer Diego Costa produced a masterclass in front of the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Joyce compared the sprint statistics of Lukaku and Costa in the clash that was comfortably won by Chelsea.
Koeman wants Lukaku to start working harder. Diego Costa made 77 sprints in Chel v Everton before international break. Lukaku made 24.

Lukaku, 23, has scored seven Premier League goals for the Toffees this term, including strikes against the likes of Manchester City and West Ham.
But with an obvious lack of effort compared to his Chelsea counterpart during the 5-0 loss, Koeman will want to see a huge improvement from Everton’s number 10 as they take on Swansea on Saturdat at Goodison Park.
Everton’s number 10 is expected to start up front, as the Toffees look for just their second league and cup win in eight attempts.
Koeman’s side could move up to fifth position in the league, if they secure three points against Bob Bradley’s relegation-threatened Swansea.
