Sadio Mane has stated he is proud to be part of a team with “big, big talent” as Liverpool hold top spot in the Premier League table.
The Reds moved into first place on Sunday when they thrashed Watford 6-1 on home soil with summer signing Mane bagging a brace.
The 24-year-old forward joined the Merseyside club for a fee of £30 million during the summer from Premier League rivals Southampton.
He has gone on to become a firm fan favourite in his first ten league games as his high energy, pace and power has epitomised Liverpool’s dangerous playing style this season.
Now, Mane has revealed what the mindset has been like at Anfield as they aim for an unlikely Premier League title this season.
“I’m very happy to be part of a team with big, big talent with everyone working for each other,” Mane told Goal.
“It makes it easy for a player when you’ve got really good teammates and when everyone wants the same thing.”
Mane has played 11 Premier League and EFL Cup games for Jurgen Klopp’s side this term where he has scored six goals and provided two assists.
Klopp’s men have won eight out of ten league games with Mane with their only loss coming in his absence when they were beaten 2-0 at Burnley earlier on in the season.
In other Liverpool team news, right-back Nathaniel Clyne has named the three fastest players in the Reds squad.
