Captain Liam Bridcutt has been left out of the Leeds side to face Blackburn in the third round of the EFL Cup.
The 27-year-old midfielder was expected to return to the starting eleven on Tuesday night after being sidelined for Leeds 2-0 triumph over Cardiff on Saturday.
However, Leeds revealed on their official Twitter account that Bridcutt was not part of the 18-man squad to face Owen Coyle’s side for the second time in seven days.

Teenager Ronaldo Vieira continues in central midfield alongside Eunan O’Kane, as Bridcutt looks to recover in time for Saturday’s home fixture against Ipswich.
Elsewhere, Marco Silvestri is ready to make his second appearance of the season with ex-England international Rob Green being rested. Pontus Jansson has been struck with a bout of illness, so he is replaced by Liam Cooper.
Lewie Coyle also comes in at right-back in place of impressive new signing Luke Ayling, but there is no place in the starting eleven for League Cup second round hero Tyler Denton despite his winning goal against Luton Town. He has to settle for a place on the bench.
Alex Mowatt comes in for Spain international Pablo Hernandez, while £3million man Kemar Roofe will be given another chance to prove his worth in place of Hadi Sacko.
Marcus Antonsson will spearhead the Leeds attack as New Zealand captain Chris Wood is rested.
A win for Leeds could see them secure three victories on the bounce, but Blackburn will be buoyant after beating Rotherham 4-2 on Saturday to earn their first domestic win of the season.
