Lazio manager Filippo Inzaghi has confirmed that his English attacking midfielder Ravel Morrison is on the transfer list.

The 23-year-old has endured a difficult time with the Serie A Giants following his surprise move from West Ham last summer, making just six appearances in all competitions.

Sky Sports’ transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol revealed via his Twitter account that AC Milan legend Inzaghi has said that former Manchester United midfielder Morrison “is officially on the market.”

Morrison, who is contracted to Serie A club Lazio until the summer of 2019, began following the Villa Twitter account at the end of July to prompt rumours he could be joining the Championship club, but the possibility was subsequently dismissed by owner Tony Xia.

The playmaker was once regarded as one of the most gifted young footballers in the country, but reported attitude problems has seen the former Cardiff loanee’s career take a number of setbacks.

Morrison has only made 70 senior appearances since graduating from the Manchester United academy in 2010.

Champions League winning manager Roberto Di Matteo has already made seven signing this summer, spending almost £40million on the likes of Ross McCormack, James Chester and Aaron Tshibola.
Goalkeeper Gollini joins, as does Tommy Elphick, Mile Jedinak and Ritchie De Laet as Di Matteo looks to return the Midlands clubs to the Premier League at the first attempt.
