Shkodran Mustafi is keen to see his new side Arsenal bring their “good mood” into Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough.

The Germany international is expected to start at centre-back for Arsene Wenger’s side against Aitor Karanka’s impressive Premier League new boys.

Mustafi, who signed for £35million from La Liga side Valencia this summer, claimed on his personal Instagram account that there had been a positive vibe around the Arsenal training ground on Friday.

Mustafi, 24, is expected to start for the Gunners after starring in his side’s 6-0 Champions League demolition of Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets on Wednesday night.

Since his move to North London, the World Cup winner has made eight appearances for Wenger’s side. In that time, he has helped keep four clean sheets as Arsenal stretch their winning streak to seven games.

Alongside Frenchman Laurent Koscielny, Mustafi and co. are expected to maintain their impressive form at the Emirates against Boro.

Three points could see the Gunners end the weekend at the summit of the Premier League table, if title rivals Manchester City and Tottenham drop points.

In other Arsenal news, Michael Owen has given his prediction for Saturday’s encounter as Wenger and Karanka lock horns.
