Simon Mignolet played 90 minutes for Belgium in their friendly against the Netherlands and revealed how “proud” he was to play for his international team.
The match ended 1-1 but it wasn’t without controversy as Mignolet wiped out Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen midway through the first half.
Janssen was unable to continue and was replaced after 25 minutes with a suspected concussion, leaving Spurs fans to hope the injury doesn’t affect their domestic efforts.
Mignolet conceded one goal after Davy Klaassen gave the Netherlands the lead in the 38th minute. Yannick Carrasco equalised for the Red Devils after Romelu Lukaku had missed an absolute sitter from five yards out.
After the game Mignolet posted the following images on his personal Twitter account, stating how proud he was.

Mignolet has lost his Liverpool first-team place to Loris Karius this season, but has made seven appearances for the Reds across all competitions.
He hasn’t featured in the Premier League however since the victory against Chelsea at the end of September.
