Simon Mignolet has claimed Liverpool produced their own fireworks on Sunday afternoon after they hit Walter Mazzarri’s Watford for six.
The second-choice goalkeeper was once again an unused sub during Liverpool’s emphatic 6-1 win over Watford, which saw the Merseyside giants move to the top of the Premier League.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, Belgium international Mignolet revealed that Liverpool delivered that they had promised in front of a packed Anfield crowd.

A superb brace from Sadio Mane saw Liverpool well on their way to three points, while Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Georginio Wijnaldum all found the net to secure a superb win.
Mignolet has lost his place in Jurgen Klopp’s side, though. The former Sunderland goalkeeper is currently playing second fiddle to summer signing Loris Karius, who excelled towards the end of the game with a number of saves.
In their 14 league and cup encounters this season, the Reds have won 11 games losing just once against Burnley back in August.
Liverpool must now wait until after the international break to consolidate their place at the top of the Premier League, with an away trip to Southampton coming next on November 19.
