Everton and West Ham have missed out on striker target Loic Remy who has joined Crystal Palace in a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The news was confirmed on the Crystal Palace Twitter page on Tuesday afternoon.
The deal is a major coup for Crystal Palace who have significantly enhanced their attacking options this season after already signing former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke in a deal worth £26.5million.

West Ham and Everton had both expressed interest in the striker, but the Toffees hopes appeared slim after French newspaper L’Equipe claimed that the player wanted to stay in London.
Sky Sports reported earlier this month that West Ham were searching a number of avenues to end their striker crisis with Remy an option, but they have now secured Juventus striker Simone Zaza on a season-long loan.
Remy has struggled to fit in at Stamford Bridge and has been considered a disappointment, scoring just 12 goals in 47 appearances.
Competition in the west London outfit is tough though with Diego Costa regularly filling the only central striking role in the Blues attack.
In other Everton transfer news, a club are in advanced talks for a Toffees target in a potentially record-breaking deal.
