Paul Merson has picked both Dimitri Payet and Cheikhou Kouyate in his combined Chelsea and West Ham six-a-side team, ahead of their showdown on Monday evening.
Merson picked Eden Hazard, Gary Cahill, N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas alongside the Hammers duo.
Payet signed a £120,000-a-week five-year contract in May that made him the highest paid player in the Hammers’ history after netting 15 goals and providing 17 assists last season.
Kouyate scored five goals and provided five assists last season in all competitions and made the team ahead of of other midfield options like Nemanja Matic and Mark Noble.
“I really like this lad,” Merson told the Sky Sports website when describing Kouyate. “He scored a couple of goals in the Europa League qualifiers and got five goals last season. He breaks up the play a lot and makes lot of passes.”
The Hammers begin their Premier League campaign at Stamford bridge on Monday evening and will be hoping to start brightly after finish 7th in the Premier League under Slaven Bilic last season.
Bilic guided the progressive east London outfit into the Europa League too, and his team have already played in the competition ahead of their domestic opener.
