Alan Mclnally believes Celtic ace Moussa Dembele will leave Celtic at the end of the season, amid reported interest from Manchester United.

Sky Sports pundit Mclnally hailed the 20-year-old striker who moved to the Scottish Champions in the summer via a free-transfer.

The former Fulham man has become a firm fan-favourite among the Celtic Park faithful, following his hat-trick against Old Firm rivals Rangers in September.

According to the Daily Mail, Premier League giants Manchester United sent scouts to watch the talented youngster net his 15th goal of the season against Ross County on Wednesday night.

Former Bhoys striker Mclnally believes the more successful the French born striker is this season, the more chance he has of leaving Celtic Park.

“I’m delighted there’s scouts going north of the border,” Mclnally told Sky Sports, as quoted by HITC. “That hasn’t happened for two or three years.

“There’s no question that Dembele is a very good player. It’ll be an interesting scenario at the end of the year, when he’s bagged himself another 10 goals, a lot of teams will be interested in bringing in someone who knows where the goal is.

“I think he’ll get as many goals as he can, but unfortunately I think they may lose him at the end of the year.”

Fulham academy product Dembele burst onto the scene as a teenager, scoring 19 goals in 64 appearances for the London club in England’s second-tier.

This attracted the interest of former Liverpool man Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, who purchased the youngster on a free during the summer.

Dembele has scored seven goals in nine Scottish Premiership games this term, providing one assist, as the Hoops top the table with 25 points from nine games.

In other Celtic transfer news, this midfield ace is set to make a comeback for the Wembley showdown in November.
