Stan Collymore believes Scott Sinclair and Kolo Toure will be the two key man as he backed Celtic to beat Rangers 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Outspoken pundit Collymore believes winger Sinclair and defender Toure will be the difference for Brendan Rodgers side in the eagerly anticipated Old Firm derby.
Sinclair, 27 has scored three goals in three SPL games for Celtic since his summer move from Aston Villa, while Toure has featured in his all of his side’s three wins this term after joining as a free agent following his release by Liverpool.
The former TalkSport presenter stated that the Hoops are favourites after their impressive start to the season where they top the table ahead of rivals Rangers.
“You have to go with Celtic as favourites,” Collymore posted on his personal Twitter account. “They have started the season quite brightly- and have a great tactician in manager Brendan Rodgers.
“As for Rangers, do not dismiss them, I have played in Yorkshire derbies, London derbies, Midlands derbies and the cliché is true, the form goes out of the window.
“On this occasion I’m going to go for a Celtic victory, I think they just have that little too much quality, players like Scott Sinclair and Kolo Toure, real quality players that have been around the block.
“I’m going to go a firm Hoops victory 2-0.”
Here is Collymore giving his thoughts on the Old Firm clash:
The two Glasgow giants last met in April when Mark Warburton’s side upset the odds and beat their rivals 5-4 on penalties in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
Both sides are unbeaten in the early stages of the 2016-17 Scottish Premiership campaign, with Celtic boasting a 100 per cent success record, while Rangers have secured two wins and two draws.
In other Celtic team news, Ray Wilkins has hailed the Bhoys clash with Rangers, as he compares it with the Manchester derby.
