Stan Collymore has backed Celtic to triumph over their bitter rivals Rangers when both sides clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Bhoys take on their arch enemies Rangers in the Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park, in what is expected to be a fiery encounter.

Former Liverpool, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest striker Collymore shared where his allegiances lie ahead of the Old Firm clash.

Here is Collymore on his personal Twitter account posting this message ahead of the Celtic v Rangers showdown:

The outspoken Collymore is known for his strong views following his move into punditry and broadcasting, after his retirement from the game.

Brendan Rodgers’ side humiliated their Glasgow counterparts 5-1 in their last league meeting in September, with striker Moussa Dembele netting a hat-trick.

Fellow Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen await the winner of this contest, after they beat Greenock Morton 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in the other semi-final.

In other Celtic team news, supporters on Twitter question manager Brendan Rodgers as this senior defender is axed for the Rangers clash.
