Stan Collymore believes West Ham are having “serious teething trouble” following their fourth successive Premier League defeat on Sunday.
Slaven Bilic’s side lost 3-0 at the London Stadium to Claude Puel’s Southampton leaving the Hammers in the relegation zone with three points after six games.
The east London club have conceded 14 goals in their previous four league encounters, having picked up one win and lost five games this term.
Broadcaster Collymore gave his verdict after the Irons lost their third match at the London stadium in all competitions by stating Bilic’s men need to get back to basics.
“Serious teething trouble for West Ham,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Just need to grind out a couple of ugly wins now. Hope stadium doesn’t become a millstone for them.”

West Ham moved to the London Stadium in Stratford this season, after ending their 112-year association with the Boleyn Ground.
But the Irons have suffered a miserable start to the campaign by picking up one win in the league and getting knocked out of the Europa League qualifying stage to Romanian side Astra Giurgiu.
Bilic will now host Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon hoping to end their woeful losing streak.
