A Super Computer tasked with the job of predicting the final Premier League table has tipped Tottenham to finish fourth, well short of their title ambitions this season.

talkSPORT have run their prediction machine in the hope of discovering who will finish where in England’s top-flight this term.

The computer has stated that Maurcio Pochettino’s side will qualify for the Champions League next season, but will finish behind Liverpool (3rd), Arsenal (2nd) and Manchester City (1st) in the league.

Sunderland (20th), Hull City (19th) and Burnley (18th) have all been tipped for relegation as Bournemouth and Watford are predicted to survive the drop.

The Computer claims that both Chelsea and Manchester United will miss out on top-level European football next term after their inconsistent starts to the league this season.

Tottenham fans will be happy to see their side tipped for Champions League qualification but will be frustrated at the notion of not securing Premier League glory.

Spurs are without a first division title since 1961 and nearly ended the wait for domestic glory last season.

Pochettino’s side looked favourites for the title after Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all fell away as the season progressed.

However, the north London outfit were pipped to the post by 5000-1 outsiders Leicester City for England’s biggest prize and eventually finished third in the table.

In other Tottenham news, Harry Redknapp admitted he discovered his players bet on their own matches, in contravention of Football Association rules – and Spurs fans took to Twitter.
