Swansea City have joined the race to sign Juventus striker Simone Zaza this summer, according to reports.
Italian website Calcio Mercato has reported that Swansea are ready to battle West Ham, Everton and Southampton for the 24-year-old forward.
As reported on Football Insider, West Ham have lined up a club-record £20million bid for the striker.
However, the Swans are keen to sign the former Sassuolo man following the departures of Eder and Alberto Paloschi.
Italy international Zaza has scored eight goals in 24 appearances in all competitions since his £12.6million switch from Sassulo last summer.
However, the Italy international has been on the fringes of the Juventus team for most of that time and is deemed surplus to requirements in Turin.
Nevertheless, Zaza is reportedly rated in the £20million-plus bracket by Juventus.
Zaza, who has won 12 caps for Italy, supplied the assist for Eder’s match-winning goal on Friday night as Italy beat Sweden 1-0.
With Zaza currently in France with Antonio Conte’s squad, it will be a good opportunity for the forward to showcase his talents amid watching scouts and fans, who will be keen to see what the Italian has to offer.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are ready to battle Sporting Lisbon to the signature of teenage sensation Chukwudi Agor.
